They will not re-adjust to a higher lot size even if prices trend lower.
For dual-currency counters, the primary traded currency determines the board lot size.
New listings priced above the threshold will be assigned the reduced board lot from the first day of listing.

The number of shares you own remains the same.
Your stock continues to trade under the existing code, in the new lot size.
A board lot is the minimum number of shares you need to buy or sell in a single trade (i.e., in a multiple of 10 or 100 units).
Board lot sizes will be reduced for selected securities (ie. ordinary shares, REITs, business trusts and company warrants), lowering the minimum investment required and enabling investors to access higher-priced stocks with less capital.
| Share Price | Current Board Lot | New Board Lot |
| >S$10 to ≤ S$100 | 100 Units | 10 Units |
| > S$100 | 100 Units | 1 Unit |
It's not a once-off reduction. After the initial 5 Oct 2026 implementation for the initial batch of securities, the board lot sizes will be reviewed every calendar quarter to determine which securities qualify for a reduction in board lot size. The next implementation will be announced in January 2027 and implementation in February 2027.
Any changes will be announced within the first five trading days after the end of each quarter, with implementation within the first five trading days of the second month after the quarter.
No action is required on the investor's part. The change is only applicable when new trades (buy or sell) are made, when there is the option to trade in smaller sizes. No, a board lot change does not affect the number of shares you own.
No new stock codes will be created. The existing stock code will be retained and from the effective date will trade in multiples of the new board lot.
Board lot sizes will not revert. Once reduced, the board lot will remain unchanged, even if the price subsequently falls.
The security's traded currency is used for the price threshold. For securities traded in SGD, S$10 is used as the price threshold. For securities traded in USD, US$10 is used as the price threshold.
